Global aerospace and security company Lockheed Martin has named Stephanie C. Hill its new senior vice president for corporate strategy and business development, according to BlackEngineer.com. Hill has also been named a corporate officer of the firm.

In her new role, Hill will lead the company’s global business strategies and will oversee all aspects of new business opportunities.

She’ll be moving up to her new post from her current position of vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin’s cyber, ships & advanced technologies (CSAT) line of business for rotary and mission systems. There she oversaw the development of UAVs, reconnaissance technology, cyber security programs and other military technologies.

“Stephanie is an experienced leader with more than 30 years of experience effectively leading teams, defining business strategies and delivering outstanding results for our customers,” Lockheed Martin chairman, president and CEO Marillyn A. Hewson said. “I’m confident that under Stephanie’s leadership we will continue to strengthen our customer relationships and align our business strategies to adapt to the evolving global security environment.”

Hill has had quite the extensive relationship with Lockheed Martin, joining the company as a software engineer in 1987.

A University of Maryland alum (B.S. in Computer Science and Economics), Hill has dominated in the business field for years at Lockheed Martin in roles such as vice president and general manager of information systems and global solutions civil business, vice president of corporate internal audit and vice president and general manager in the electronic systems’ mission systems and sensors business.

Congrats to Stephanie C. Hill! We’re sure she’s going to kill it!
