Could a musical version of Love Jones be in works? According to MC Lyte, one of the quintessential black American films of the 1990s has been adapted for the stage. This musical production comes in time for the 20th anniversary of the movie that the community loves so much.

According to an IG post from the beloved MC, the cast for includes some of our faves on the mic. MC Lyte, Raheem Devaguhn, Musiq Soulchild, Marsha Ambrosius, Chrisette Michelle and Dave Hollister are the main cast. We haven’t seen any more details such as production details or a schedule, but we hope this is real and it happens soon!

If you want to relive Love Jones through the musical experience, you better gather your coins. Nostalgia sells, fam. I wouldn’t expect tickets for this to last very long. In her post, MC Lyte says to download her app for more information!
