Bed Bath & Beyond will open its first brick-and-mortar store in two years, The Brand House Collective Inc. announced in late July. According to USA Today, the big-box retail chain will be opening the store Friday in Nashville, Tennessee, under a new name: Bed Bath & Beyond Home.

The store’s opening comes after Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy and closed its stores in 2023. The following year, Beyond Inc., the retailer’s former parent company, “entered into a strategic partnership” with The Brand House Collective, previously known as Kirkland’s, Inc.

“We’re proud to reintroduce one of retail’s most iconic names with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, beautifully reimagined for how families gather at home today,” Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, said in a July news release. “This isn’t just a store, it’s a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families.”

Bed Bath & Beyond Home will accept customers’ ‘legacy’ coupons

To celebrate Bed Bath & Beyond Home’s grand opening, The Brand House Collective announced that the new store will be “honoring our brand’s history” by welcoming back the “beloved Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.” Customers can bring their Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, which Bed Bath & Beyond Home “will gladly honor.”

The first 25 customers will receive an over $200 mattress

In addition to accepting customers’ legacy coupons, Bed Bath & Beyond Home will also offer its first 25 customers a gift with their purchase: The Beyond Bed, a 10-inch memory foam queen-size mattress that’s valued at $226.99.

Bed Bath & Beyond transitioned into an online retailer in 2023

In June 2023, after Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy but before it entered its partnership with The Brand House Collective, Overstock.com bought Bed Bath & Beyond and transitioned it into an online retailer, Today reported.

“Bed Bath & Beyond is an iconic consumer brand, well-known in the home retail marketplace. The combination of our winning asset-light business model and the high awareness and loyalty of the Bed Bath & Beyond brand will improve the customer experience and position the company for accelerated market share growth,” Overstock CEO Jonathan Johnson said in a statement at the time, USA Today reported.

The retailer then prepared to partner with The Container Store to sell its items in late 2024. The partnership required Beyond Inc. to invest in The Container Store.
