How Olive Garden responded to the viral post

Olive Garden responded to the customer’s social media post and vowed to look into the matter.

“We are concerned to see this,” the restaurant stated, per KTLA. “Can you please send an email to social@olivegarden.com with your full name, and the location you went to?”

As social media users reacted to the photo, which has gained more than 3.5 million views since it was posted in mid-November, some people tried to offer an explanation. According to KTLA, one person who claimed to be an Olive Garden employee said the print on the breadstick came from the plastic bag it came in.

“When they sit in the freezer for a while that can happen,” the person said.
