Taylor Bennett (yes, Chance the Rapper’s brother) has been grinding for a while now, doing interviews with HOT 97 and smashing his "Five Fingers of Death" on Sway in the Morning. Now we haven’t heard from the Chicago native since his debut album Broad Shouldershowever on Thursday, he premiered a brand new song entitled “New York Nights."

I love this joint because Taylor, along with the production, provides a positive vibe for the track. It features a hook from Jordan Bratton, who opens the track, and a verse New York emcee Stro. Some may shrug off the two names, but I would challenge and encourage you to listen because these two are solid picks of who to look for in 2017. The production isn’t too heavy featuring snapping fingers as a snare, behind that is a chill guitar riff to really embody the positivity. The flow of both emcees are catchy yet have a degree of realness to keep this from being just a turnup joint.

I don’t know what’s coming next for Taylor Bennett but he has my attention, for now check out “New York Nights” below.
