Writer/director Tahir Jetter’s past short film work has been featured on this blog (he also penned a filmmaker diary series last year, while working on his web series "Hard Times," which was picked up by Issa Rae’s Color Creative Network). The filmmaker is now in production on what will be his feature film debut, which he’s been shooting this summer, aiming for a 2016 premiere. We featured a casting call for it on this blog in April.
Tahir has released a very early look at the film, via a teaser trailer – emphasis on the word teaser – which is embedded below.
Currently titled "Occasionally Dating Black Women," the film, described as "a dark comedy about a misogynist who falls in love," stars Charles Brice and DeWanda Wise.
Julius Pryor and Marttise Hill are producers, with Alex Cirillo co-producing.
Cathy Peoples, Wise-Miller Productions, Inc., Melanie and Mark Greenberg are executive producers.
