Here’s your first preview of that new, upcoming Black Dynamite animated series (based on the cult 2009 feature film by Scott Sanders, starring Michael Jai White), which will air on Adult Swim in spring 2012.

Although, the pilot episode will play exclusively on Adultswim.com next month – August 8th.

Those who are attending Comic-Con this year, which is already underway in San Diego, will get a look at the pilot episode before the rest of the world does.

Carl Jones, a member of the creative team behind the popular series The Boondocks is behind the project, which “further chronicles the exploits of the central character, ex-CIA agent and full-time ladies man Black Dynamite, and his crew as they avenge the death of Black Dynamite’s brother against kung-fu masters, drug-dealing pimps and The Man and his crew.“

Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley and Byron Minns, who all starred in the film, return to voice their characters.
