Cori " Coco" Gauff is going to be among the youngest players competing at the U.S. Open.

The 15-year-old tennis phenom will play the U.S. Open later this month because of a wild-card entry. According to The Sacramento Bee, the Florida resident gained entrance into the Open on Tuesday. Gauff will compete in the main draw against more seasoned players.

“I want to thank the USTA for the opportunity to participate in my home Slam,” she said in a statement emailed by her agent, according to Fox News. “I look forward to playing my first main draw at the U.S. Open.”

The last few months have been a whirlwind for the young star. In July, she became the youngest player to qualify for Wimbledon.

Ranked only at 313, she managed to beat five-time champion Venus Williams at Wimbledon, becoming the youngest player to win straight sets since 1991. Although she lost in round four to Simona Halep, Gauff rose in the rankings to 140th, according to the latest numbers from the World Tennis Association.

The teen has become an instant favorite. Earlier this month, the 15-year-old joined 17-year-old Catherine McNally to win the women’s doubles title at the Citi Open.

Gauff looks forward to winning big and grabbing more headlines when the U.S. Open takes place from August 26 to September 8.
