If there is a “Who You Should Be Following on Twitter” list anywhere, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are definitely on it. Together, they proved once again why they are such power players on social media as they collectively took the opportunity to drag Piers Morgan into oblivion. Since the news broke of Muhammad Ali’s death, Morgan has been on a ridiculous tirade on Twitter and Daily Mail calling Ali “appallingly racist,” and even compared his inflammatory remarks to that of Donald Trump.
Legend and Teigen weren’t having it as they quickly called Morgan out for his trolling behavior. They began tag-teaming in his mentions in the hopes that he may retire — or better yet, deactivate his Twitter account.
.@piersmorgan you could test us by announcing your retirement.

@johnlegend from what? trolling isn’t a job (I’ve tried)

It was right here where Morgan’s failed attempt at a clapback left him looking at his computer like the Mr. Krabs meme, unsure of where he went wrong for the rest of this Teigen and Legend takedown.
@piersmorgan it keeps me nice and not-racist so sure, give it a go.

The Twitter match came to a close with this last remark from the Teigen team as she let Morgan know that before he attempts to diminish one’s credibility or character, he should indeed check the facts and see why there is little to no respeck on his own name.
@piersmorgan remember when Bruce Willis didn’t know he was dead? It’s like that.

While this most definitely may not be the last we see of Piers Morgan and his unwarranted, unwanted opinions, we can find solace in the fact that as Legend and Teigen have shown — no trolls against us will prosper and we too can take them out, 140 characters at a time.
troll recognize troll.
