Terrence Howard has opened up the flower of life and thus is walking away from acting. At least, that's how he explained it…kind of.

The Empire star stopped to talk to news outlet KTLA on the Emmys red carpet and gave quite an interesting response when asked about stepping away from acting. As the last season of the Fox drama is upon us, Howard has decided that his final episode as Lucious will be his last time acting.

“I’ve spent 37 years pretending to be people so that people can pretend to watch and enjoy what I’m doing,” Howard tells the hosts.

His reasoning behind leaving his career has many people baffled — to say the least. The 50-year-old says he had epiphanies that included Pythagoras, wave conjugations and platonic solids.

“I’ve made some discoveries in my own personal life with the science, that you know, Pythagoras was searching for. I was able to open up the flower of life properly and find the real wave conjugations that we’ve been looking for, for 10,000 years,” the actor said.

His new mission? To teach the next generation about his discoveries.

“Why would I continue walking on water for tips when I’ve got an entire generation to teach a whole new world?”

The two hosts interviewing the Hustle & Flow star appeared to be just as baffled as everyone watching.

This isn’t the first time Howard has talked about opening up his own version of a third eye. In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, the actor discussed “Terryology” — a language of his own that he used to try and prove that one times one equals two.

Maybe one day students will study Terryology in their high school math classes — or not.

Obviously, this was more than amusing for many on the Twitterverse.

But maybe we're the ones who need schooling.

When the hosts so clearly tried diverting from the existential topic at-hand by discussing the star's addition to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Howard then went on to question that, too. But that, we understood.

"Which is interesting," Howard said in reference to the star. "How am I getting a star for TV when I've never gotten an Emmy nomination for TV?" he said.
