Teyana Taylor was named the "Sexiest Woman Alive" by Maxim Magazine and turns out she's the first Black woman to receive the recognition.

Despite serving looks and body goals for her fans on social media over the years, the "Gonna Love Me" singer appeared to be surprised by the honor.

She took to Instagram to express her excitement on receiving an honor that many of her fans already knew to be true.

“WOW…Stepping back in front of the lens has been a journey of self-reflection and self-confidence. Living up to [the] name and title of this shoot wholeheartedly made me nervous,” she wrote on Instagram.

The mother of two said she was shocked when she arrived on set for the photoshoot and the director told her not to get glammed up. The result? Taylor serving us drip in sweatpants and a skully.

"I was like, ‘SO LET ME UNDERSTAND THIS…I WILL BE THE SEXIEST Woman Alive IN SWEATS AND A SKULLY?’” she recalled. “As confused as I was, my heart also melted…Embrace and love yourselves for who & what you are because only the purest heart shines through. Thank you @maximmag. I am truly honored to have graced the cover.”

The multi-talented artist shared that she "always felt like I should be on the cover" and her fans absolutely agree.

After news broke that Taylor earned the title, her fans took to Twitter to congratulate her, but not without pointing out that the recognition was overdue.

Still stuck on the fact that Taylor was the first Black woman to receive the honor, one fan was unimpressed by the publication's lack of recognition of Black beauty.

Now with the sexiest stamp of approval by Maxim, Taylor is gearing up for her next work venture— starring as Dionne Warwick in a film about the legend's life.

Follow Warwick's recent explosion on Twitter, the two women engaged in a brief conversation on the social platform about the possibility of Taylor portraying the musician in a new movie.

The 30-year-old shared that the brief conversation was quickly followed up by Warwick and her team.

“It was crazy ‘cause once I responded, she and her son immediately reached out and we got on the phone and got straight to it. And now we’re at the development stage and it’s so exciting,” she told Maxim.

“I want to make sure she approves everything and is comfortable with everything before we move forward,” she said of her meetings with Warwick. “That was the most important thing for me, to really learn one another and know what it is that she wants, and make sure her story is coming from her own mouth, rather than bringing people in to change her narrative.”

While Taylor continues to explore different fields of work, one thing remains clear: she will do it as the best version of herself. Congrats T.
