In light of the recent tragedy that took place at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival, Teyana Taylor took no chances when it came to her crowd's safety at her Los Angeles show. A video from her concert circulated online Tuesday morning, showing Taylor pausing her performance to check on an audience member standing in the general admission crowd.

Taylor can be seen, in her full red ensemble complete with matching red hair, telling security to usher the girl forward. A few seconds later someone brought the girl up to the front of the section and over the guard rail.
"I'm bout to retire, you ain't finna sue me, baby," Taylor joked into the microphone.
The show comes on the heels of the recent incident at the Astroworld Festival, in which eight people lost their lives and dozens were injured in a major trampling incident. According to the Houston Chronicle, the incident began after 9 p.m. outside of NRG stadium. Scott took the stage and, as one of the concertgoers wrote in an Instagram post, the massive mosh pit eventually began to look like it was swallowing itself.
"The rush of people became tighter and tighter. .. Breathing became something only a few were capable. The rest were crushed or unable to breathe in the thick hot air," Instagram user SeannaFaith wrote. "It was like watching a Jenga tower topple. Person after person were sucked down…. You were at the mercy of the wave."
"We begged security to help us, for the performer to see us and know something was wrong," she continued. "None of that came, we continued to drown."
After the tragic situation made headlines, artists and celebrities like SZA, Drake, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian released statements expressing their condolences.
Taylor wasn't the only one on edge after the Astroworld tragedy. Comedian Katt Williams also recently made sure to help out one of his fans in the crowd by halting his show after someone passed out.
Taylor's Los Angeles concert was the second stop on her "The Last Rose Petal…Farewell” tour, putting to rest her music career. In an interview on BET's Sip 'n Smoke, the multi-hyphenate said that she decided to retire from music due to issues with her label and feeling "unheard."
“At the end of the day, I’m a mom first,” she told host Cam Newton. “A mom, a wife, a woman. And I think, for me, I put in a lot of work. I work very, very hard. So, if you feel unheard and unseen — like how I said earlier with my husband. He sees me, he hears me. I take that s**t serious. Everything that I do. So if you’re my husband, or I’m signed, everybody that I’m aligned with should see me. They should hear me. They should feel me. If you don’t see me, hear me, or feel me, it’s a dub for you.”
“And I felt like the label wasn’t really hearing me and seeing me,” she continued. “I felt underappreciated. So, for my mental health, my mental well-being, for my kids, let me just put this on ice for a little [bit]. It’s not that I retired permanently. It’s more like, I just don’t feel like I want to move another inch for a company.”
