Singer and songwriter Jamila Woods is giving us "Eartha" vibes with a new single which pulls inspiration from a once-viral video of Eartha Kitt discussing love and compromise.

In a press release obtained by Blavity, Woods said the lyrics to "Eartha," which dropped on Tuesday, reflect thoughts that "play in your head after an argument with your partner. These are the pages you write in your journal the next morning."

“This is everything you wish you could have said or everything you’ve said a million times without it being heard. The moment you realize you are worthy of more. Inspired by the badass spirit and wisdom of Eartha Kitt," Woods said of the track, which is from her forthcoming album LEGACY! LEGACY!

Woods’ new record is produced by Peter Cottontale and follows "Zora," another inspired single which dropped in February.

Per HuffPost, Kitt spoke about love in the 1982 documentary All by Myself: The Eartha Kitt Story. When the interviewer asked the "Santa Baby" singer if she would be "willing to compromise within a relationship,” she hysterically laughed in his face before delivering an iconic answer.

“A man comes into my life, and I have to compromise? We must think about that one again. A relationship is a relationship that has to be earned, not to compromise for,” Kitt said. “When you fall in love, what is there to compromise about?”

Woods' upcoming 25-stop North American tour includes performances in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and her hometown of Chicago. Fans can pre-order LEGACY! LEGACY!  now, ahead of its May 10 release.
