Season 20 of ABC’s The Bachelorette premiered on June 26 and there’s already a contestant who’s gotten a stamp of approval from Charity Lawson’s brother, Nehemiah.

Contestant Aaron B. started off strong as soon as he stepped out of the limo. He told Charity that if his coin lands on heads then they’ll get engaged and if it lands on tails, he’ll go home. Luckily for him, the coin landed on heads. Later in the night, Lawson’s brother —who pretended to be a bartender to eavesdrop on the men’s conversations — voiced his approval of Aaron B to his sister.

“With Aaron B., we can say my brother’s approval early on did help,” Lawson teased to Variety. “But we’ll see how things truly unfold.”

In an exclusive clip for next week’s episode, Lawson takes Aaron B. on a 1-on-1 date to the famous Hollywood sign. While enjoying some champagne, Lawson tells Aaron that she decided to bring him on a date because they both have parents who have been married for years.

Aaron B. goes on to tell Charity that he hasn’t “felt this spark in a minute” and the two share a kiss.

Is Aaron B. turning out to be a frontrunner this season? Based on the exclusive preview alone, it seems he might be one of the contestants who goes pretty far.
