In the wake of the allegations of sexual assault made against former Law & Order actor Chris Noth, CBS has announced that they have dropped the actor from their popular crime drama The Equalizer, which stars Queen Latifah.
The news comes in the wake that Peloton, which released a commercial featuring Noth, stopped airing the ad. Noth has also been dropped from numerous entities.
For those unfamiliar, in an article from The Hollywood Reporter, two women accused Noth of sexually assaulting them when they were in their 20s.
The revelation comes in the wake of press surrounding the Sex and The City spinoff series, And Just Like That…, which killed off Noth’s famed character Mr. Big in the pilot episode.
These aren’t the only allegations made against Noth. A 1995 article has resurfaced revealing that model beverly Johnson accused Noth of beating her, threatening to kill her dog and disfigure her in 1995 court documents. Noth and Johnson were formerly married.
Noth has since vehemently denied the allegations.
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” the actor said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

On The Equalizer, Noth played William Bishop, the ex–CIA director and friend of Robyn (Latifah)’s who now runs his own private security company. He’ll appear in episodes that have already been taped.
