Rapper The Game took to Instagram to let the world know that he is proud of his son who is a high school graduate. The 41-year-old rapper expressed to his son Harlem Taylor, 17, in a heartfelt Instagram message that he was proud of him for graduating from high school and earning a scholarship to attend the University of Oregon, The Source reports.

In the message posted Thursday, the day of Taylor’s graduation, The Game was very transparent about the moment he found out he was going to have his son.

“I can remember your mother @___aleska telling me she was pregnant with you & us both not knowing what on earth to do or how we were going to do it… But on that day, I promised her that by the time you were born I’d be a millionaire & at the time that was 100% cap,” he recalled in the Instagram caption.

The Game went on to detail his transition from selling drugs to becoming a well-known rapper.

“I started watching 106 & Park while bagging up dope just to keep us afloat & there was this one episode where the rapper “Shyne” was on the show. I said to myself, 'that’s it… I’m bout to learn how to rap' !!! I was trash af in the beginning but as the months passed & your mothers stomach grew, I got better & better. By the time you were born, I was signed to Dr. Dre & looking back… I really don’t know how the hell I was able to grind the way I did as fast as I did to secure that deal but I did it. I did it for YOU,” he continued.

The rapper concluded his message with gratitude.

“You are a champion & today… a CALABASAS HIGH-SCHOOL CLASS OF 2021 GRADUATE & that my son is the greatest gift you could give me & your mother at this level in life. Thank you & I love you more than life – Dad,” he added.

Taylor commented on The Game’s post saying “thanks dad” with a heart emoji.

This is the second time this year The Game has posted a heartfelt message addressed to Taylor, his oldest of three children. Earlier this year, the teen received a scholarship to the University of Oregon and in a now-deleted Instagram post The Game informed his fans of how proud he was of Taylor, The Atlanta Black Star reports.

“Wow… just wow. My baby just got a scholarship to the University of Oregon! I just want to share this with the world because there is so many reasons and situations in my life before his birth that could’ve kept this from happening. I’m balling my eyes out right now y’all…. tears of joy like a mf,” The Game wrote.
