The Game is the latest rapper who has come to the defense of Lizzo after she took to Instagram to share her grievances with trolls criticizing her weight and appearance, Hip-Hop Lately reported.
At the beginning of the month after the release of her song "Rumors" with Cardi B, Lizzo was seen crying on Instagram saying, "On the days I feel I should be the happiest…. I feel so down."
As others stood up for Lizzo, The Game echoed similar sentiments.
"Like the s**t y'all doin' to Lizzo, got her crying on the Internet and doing all that. Y'all fans stay fans. Stay in y'all place," he said. "If somebody was on your ass every motherf**kin' day judging your motherf**kin' life, what would that look like?… Is you too old? Is you too young? What the f**k is wrong with you? Y'all got too much motherf**kin' time to be worried about other motherf**kers lives."
"Who died and made y'all n*****s important," The Game continued. "Lizzo, you know I love you to death. Anybody else, Cardi B, anybody. Beyoncé, J. Lo … motherf**kers always got something to say about a motherf**ker. But you the one that ain't s**t. N***a you ain't *h*t. Sit on that, my n***a."
As Blavity previously reported, Cardi B, Missy Elliott and Chloe Bailey also came to the singer's defense.
Cardi B gave her fellow musician some encouraging words on Twitter, telling her, "Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you."
The two artists released the song "Rumors" with an accompanying music video, addressing notorious rumors about her weight, diet and love life.
Bailey told the "Truth Hurts" singer that she was "proud" of her and said, "you have power in your voice."
"Once every few decades, someone breaks the mold. And you are one of those people,” Elliot wrote Lizzo. “Continue to shine and be blessed through your next journey."
During her Instagram Live, the Detroit native tearfully shared how people were shaming her for simply being her.
"People saying s**t about me that just doesn't even make sense,” she continued. "It's fat-phobic, and it's racist and it's hurtful. If you don't like my music, cool. If you don't like 'Rumors' the song, cool. But a lot of people don't like me because of the way I look."
Despite her frustrations, Lizzo said she is choosing to focus on the positive, adding that she doesn't "have time for your negativity."
