Almost three decades after they joined forces in Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 cult classic Pulp Fiction, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman are reuniting for another crime saga.
Both Jackson and Thurman are starring in The Kill Room, a dark comedy crime movie written by Jonathan Jacobson and directed by Nicol Paone. Set in the art world, The Kill Room chronicles Patrice Capullo (Thurman), an art gallery owner who engages in a money laundering scheme with the mob to save her company. However, the scheme turns on its head when Reggie Pitt (Joe Manganiello), a hitman whose artwork takes inspiration from his life of crime, inadvertently turns into an overnight sensation. Jackson stars in the film as Gordon Davis, Reggie’s boss.
Not only does The Kill Room mark a reunion for Jackson and Thurman, it also marks the onscreen debut of the latter alongside her daughter, actress and Stranger Things star Maya Hawke.
Aside from Jackson, Thurman, Hawke and Manganiello, The Kill Room also stars Debi Mazar, Dree Hemingway, Amy Keum, Candy Buckley, Larry Pine, Jennifer Kim, Matthew Maher, Tom Pecinka and Alexander Sokovikov.
The Kill Room premieres in theaters on September 29. Watch the first trailer.
