Fresh off of the good feels of National Sibling Day, we've got another amazing sibling pair to celebrate!
Twitter user @_ForevrBlushing posted a video of an adorable pair of twins displaying their love for each other as they giggled on the couch with their mom in the middle.
OMG my heart.. They are twins and one has a rare genetic disorder and the way her sister talks about her just warms my heart, They're so beautiful ???? pic.twitter.com/eTHOHXPqaG— ????XII.VIII.MCMXCIV???? (@_ForevrBlushing) April 11, 2018
As the tweet mentions, one of the twins has a rare genetic disorder. Thanks to some digging from fellow tweeters, we were able to find the source behind the cute:
I did some digging and the stroke caused her to develop ataxic cerebral palsy. Sorry I just had to find out! Haha https://t.co/r5zBKmPbQh— ken doll. (@reKENDALLflames) April 12, 2018
Turns out, the two girls, Maya and Jada, were interviewed along with their mother Niki Marsden by Special Books by Special Kids, according to Shareably. Nurses informed Marsden that Jada's brain was bleeding shortly after the girls were born, and the little girl was later diagnosed with ataxic cerebral palsy. The rare genetic disorder affects between five and 10 percent of children worldwide.
Marsden recently wrote a book about her experiences raising Maya and Jada, entitled "Complex Child."
"Well I just like to see her laugh a lot," Maya said of her sister. "I never like to see her sad. 'Cause when she cries, I'll cry."
“I want to live with her and help her. I think she’s going to grow up to be a very independent and great woman,” Maya added.
