She first went viral after posting a heartwarming photo of her and her five children celebrating her graduation from law school, and now Ieshia Camps has another reason to celebrate.

On Jan. 9, the 33-year-old Houston-area mother was officially sworn in as the assistant county attorney in the Children's Protection Practice Group, according to ABC 13 News in Houston, Texas.

"It is truly an honor to work among such amazing attorneys and to be a part of the Harris County Attorney's Office," theTexas Southern University's (TSU) Thurgood Marshall School of Law alum said following her appointment.

Champs' upbringing has contributed to her desire to succeed. As Blavity previously reported, she and her siblings bounced from foster home to foster home before ultimately settling with an uncle. Fourteen years after giving birth to her first son at 19 years of age, Champs received her Juris Doctor from TSU in spring 2018. Champs said she hoped to one day work alongside families. Now, she has her wish.

According to its official website, the Children's Protection Practice Group works on behalf of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to provide care for adolescents who are victim to abuse or neglect.

Following her graduation from law school last spring, Champs took the Texas bar exam in July. In November, she revealed in a Facebook post that she had passed.

"God, you did that!" she exclaimed.

Congratulations, Iesha!
