The Real has been canceled after eight seasons after Fox Stations decided not to renew, according to Deadline.
While Fox Stations nor The Real haven’t issued an official statement about the cancellation on Twitter, Loni Love, who was part of The Real panel and previously responded to rumors that the show was canceled, wrote about the cancellation on Instagram.
Love wrote that the show's cast and crew "did everything we could to scale the show down" but believes that the costs to produce the show during the pandemic made the show ripe for cancellation.
“We shot 7-8 shows in 3 days, no audience, made a conference room into a studio, but in my opinion Covid costs killed the show,” she wrote. “[I]t’s been a great ride and thank you to the studio for allowing 8 seasons of show that was Emmy winning and historic. Most importantly thank you to the viewers for riding with us .. this is not goodbye but see you all soon!”

Love co-hosted with fellow original panelists Jeannie Mai Jenkins, Adrienne Bailon Houghton as well as Garcelle Beauvais, who joined in recent years. Former hosts include original panelists Tamera Mowry Housley and Tamar Braxton, as well as Amanda Seales.
According to Deadline, the cancellation is supposedly not related to Fox Stations greenlighting 'The Jennifer Hudson Show.'
However, The Real leaving the airwaves is the second major shakeup to the daytime talk show landscape. As has been previously reported, Sherri Shepherd is taking over Wendy Williams’ spot after Debmar-Mercury decided to replace Williams due to ongoing health issues.
