Twitter users called out Nicolle Wallace, a former co-host of The View, over an insensitive comment she made about Raven-Symoné‘s career in a resurfaced clip.
The unearthed footage had fans ready to defend the That’s So Raven star and her prominent Hollywood career. Atlanta Black Star reported Raven also hosted the daytime TV show from July 2015 until her departure in October 2016.
In the 15-second clip, she discussed with former co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Wallace and Full House star Candace Cameron Bure how fans should ask celebrities for selfies.

“I mean I don’t have a problem with selfies as long as you ask me first,” Raven said.
“I don’t like signing my name anymore ’cause my hand gets a cramp, but if you want me to vote for you —” she continued before being interrupted.
Wallace interjected with a controversial thought on the 37-year-old’s relevancy in Hollywood.
“You’re THAT famous?” the former White House communications director said as she laughed.
She received a mixture of reactions from the crowd and quickly apologized, “I’m sorry!”
Raven-Symoné was taken aback at Wallace’s statement and responded with laughter and head nods. However, Twitter users were unamused by the former co-host’s remark.
“Oh raven is SO MUCH better than me,” the original poster said in the tweet.
Other users chimed in, suggesting Wallace’s statement was considered a “microaggression” many Black people face from their white counterparts in the workplace.
“FR Because she don’t know who she’s talking to!” another fan said.

“Its very interesting how white people always are quick to try and humble our black icons. Like regardless of what Ravens ever did we know she was always that girl,” another user wrote.

People reported Wallace resigned weeks after her on-air remark and issued a statement to Raven-Symoné. She seemingly praised the actress for her stance on politics.
“I love you to death, and I think what you say about politics is so spot-on because it’s true, and it’s not just your truth, it’s true for a lot of people in your generation,” she said. “So keep talking about politics, don’t let anybody tell you that people don’t want to hear it.”
Raven-Symoné’s acting career began when she was just 3. She appeared in commercials, movies and starred and made guest appearances in television sitcoms such as The Cosby Show, Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, A Different World and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, to name a few. The 37-year-old also stars in the Disney show Raven’s Home, a spinoff of the original sitcom That’s So Raven.
As Blavity reported, Raven-Symoné recently stated she asked her dates to sign a non-disclosure agreement to protect herself.
