Whoopi Goldberg takes on the liberal use of “allegedly” when discussing the facts of the Ahmaud Arbery murder case.
During Tuesday’s episode of The View, Goldberg introduced the topic of the upcoming case against Gregory McMichael, his son Travis McMichael and William Bryan for the 2020 murder of Arbery, an unarmed Black jogger, in broad daylight in Glynn County, GA. Arbery was chased by his assailants before being shot.

While reading the teleprompter, Goldberg read “allegedly” in relation to the case, and then stopped herself.
“Not, allegedly, we saw them do it!” she said. “They chased him down and then they shot and killed him! Not allegedly–I’m not saying it.” Co-host Sunny Hostin agreed with Goldberg’s choice, saying “Thank you” repeatedly amid the audience clapping.

WHOOPI IS A QUEEN!!!
She just refused to use the word ‘allegedly’ as she was reading the teleprompter. We know Ahmaud Arbery was hunted down by these men. It is NOT allegedly. We all saw it. #TheView pic.twitter.com/t4kl5zAsNJ
