Mabel Cross rang in her 101st birthday by throwing the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game on Tuesday.

The Mariners shared a clip of Cross’ pitch on Twitter. The video shows the 101-year-old jogging on the field while waving happily to attendees that cheered her on. Fittingly, she wore a jersey with the number “101” and her name on it.

She walked closer to the catcher and winded her arm back before throwing the ball impressively far. The crowd then erupted into applause as she laughed and waved to her newfound fans.

Viewers commended her energy and shared their birthday wishes.

“That lady has more energy than most people in their latter sixties! I need to know what her routine is!” one user wrote.

“I hope I can still walk at 101, let alone weave and dance like she did. Way to go Mabel … Happy 101st Birthday to you !!!” another added.

One viewer who was at the game explained how special the moment really was.

“This was a great start to a great game,” one user shared. “Mabel’s smile and energy got us all on our feet. Do I have to be 101 to be like her?”

Cross isn’t the first person over 100 to throw the first pitch at an MLB game. According to USA Today, 106-year-old World War II veteran Mabel Johnson threw the first pitch at a Kansas City Royals game last July.
