Teacher Jasmine Evans' students proved that children have no filter after she got a quick lesson on cracking jokes. In a viral TikTok video that currently has 1.8 million views, Evans posted a video of her teaching a lesson to her class when they decided to remind her that she's not married.

Evans sat at the front of the class to give a session on honorifics, teaching the pupils that "Mr." is to signify a man and "Mrs." means a married woman. She also noted that she chooses to go by "Ms." because that title could belong to either a married or unmarried woman.

The conversation prompted a quick follow-up question from one student in the class, who asked the teacher “Why you not a Mrs.?”

“You know I’m not married,” Evans responded, evoking a series of "oohs" from the classroom.

Though, one of the girls in the room tried to come to her defense.

“Why you had to do her like that?” a girl student asked. “You know her situation.“

As Evans asked herself what situation the girl could be referring to, chaos began to stir among the two students.

“And you will never be one, [a Mrs.]," the boy said to his peer.

“OK, see, first of all, I’m not even gonna check you right now because I know Ms. Evans gonna make us read a book. So you might want to check yourself, sir!” the young girl replied.

According to the teacher, her students "stay coming for me." So, she was able to make light of the whole situation.

Evans brought the student back for a follow-up video to ask what "situation" they were referring to in their earlier conversation.

"You still looking for a man," the girl answered.

When the teacher informs her that she does, in fact, have a man, the girl didn't seem too impressed.

"He's fine or whatever, but is he going to marry you?" she asked, before breaking into Beyonce's "Single Ladies."

Evans laughed at the moment but later scolded the girl, telling her to go read a book.
