Beyoncé is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, and she’s managed to remain elusive and, in recent years, not do extensive press runs.
A new trend on TikTok is reminding us why.
The superstar did not shy away from conventional media interviews during her rise to fame with Destiny’s Child and at the beginning of her solo career. Before social media, interviews were the primary way fans could see celebrities, learn about their personalities, and discover fun facts about them outside of the music, films, etc., they released or participated in. However, once social media platforms became more popular as technology progressed, this changed media and became a primary avenue for celebs to reach their fanbase since they could engage with consumers directly.
Social media allowed stars to write their narrative instead of leaning on the media to convey their perspectives. Beyoncé is an artist who took advantage of this and has done a great job of separating her work from her personal life. As a result, fans only know what she wants them to know, which is how it should be. The mother of three stopped doing most interviews starting in 2013 and has only done a handful since.
The icon’s dance challenges aren’t the only thing that have gone viral on TikTok. The platform’s users have started a new hilarious trend to explain why they believe the “Cuff It” singer stopped doing interviews, which includes video clips of funny moments during interviews with her.

And fans, even BeyHive members, can’t stop cackling at what has been dug out of the archives.
“Bro I’m screaminggggggg at this interview & caption 😅,” someone commented.
Do you think Beyoncé will ever be on a platform like Good Morning America again?
