Rapper T.I. is adding fuel to the fire after he defended DaBaby for making homophobic comments during his Rolling Loud performance.
“I guess social media is full of confusion and words are often misconstrued, and to be honest with you, if homosexual people have more rights than heterosexual people just say that,” T.I. said during an Instagram Live. “Just let that be the law, is that the law?”
T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., took to social media to address people who were scrutinizing DaBaby after he made comments about people’s HIV/AIDS status along with other questionable remarks on Sunday, as Blavity previously reported.
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually-transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two, three weeks, put a cell phone lighter up,” DaBaby told the Rolling Loud audience in Miami. “Fellas, if you ain’t suckin’ d**k in the parking lot, put your cell phone lights up.”
DaBaby’s comments caused quite the commotion, and a fan even threw a shoe at him following his remarks.

During T.I.'s rant, he insisted that he has respect for anybody living in their truth unapologetically and commended them for their bravery. But the Atlanta native began to bash singer Lil Nas X's artistry, seemingly referring to his music video for his latest single, "Industry Baby," featuring Jack Harlow.
“I had a lot of respect for bro because he had the courage to live his truth, but that s**t ain’t for me,” T.I. said. “I ain’t got no business looking at it, I just can’t look at it.
"If you gon' have the Lil Nas X video and him living his truth, you gon' damn sure have people like DaBaby who gon' speak their truth and it ain't nothing wrong with none of it. It ain't got to be no hate, it's all honesty," he added.
The 40-year-old also mentioned that he didn't want his children seeing "those types of visual presentations."
“And I don’t want my children seeing it, either,” he said. “Because their minds haven’t developed to the place where they can wrap their minds around those types of experiences and those types of visual presentations and know how to sort it out within their perception.”
Lil Nas X, born Montero Lamar Hill, defended himself against other critics of his new song, particularly one who felt the 22-year-old was perpetuating "sexual irresponsibility."
"Y'all be silent as hell when n****s dedicate their entire music catalogue to rapping about sleeping with multiple women," he wrote in a response tweet. "But when i do anything remotely sexual i’m “being sexually irresponsible” & “causing more men to die from aids” y’all hate gay ppl and don’t hide it."

In addition, the Georgia native also clapped back at haters for criticizing his performance of "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" at the BET Awards last month, where he ended the song with an on-stage kiss with one of his male backup dancers.
"Y'all hate yourselves so much. Y'all live your lives trying your best to appease straight ppl," he wrote. "Y'all are uncomfortable with what I do because y'all are afraid they will be uncomfortable with you. Work on yourselves."
"I love who i am and whatever i decide to do," he added. "Get there."
