T.I.’s son, King Harris, is the latest family member to chime in on the years-long feud between his father and 50 Cent. For those who don’t know, their rivalry goes back to the late 2000s. 50 Cent previously implied T.I. was a snitch when T.I. worked out a plea deal for his 2007 arrest on federal gun charges. He faced up 10 years in prison, but he ended up only serving one year, according to Complex.
“What’s today’s mathematics? S**t ain’t addin’ up/Get knocked with 10 machine guns, only get 12 months/Ooooh weee, don’t talk to me,” 50 rapped in G-Unit’s “You So Tough.”
Then, years later, T.I. claimed that 50 agreed to go head-to-head with him in a Verzuz battle before backing out. As a result, 50 posted unflattering pictures of T.I.’s wife, Tiny, and poked fun at T.I.’s past legal issues. T.I. hit back with several diss tracks, including “War.”
What did T.I. say about his son’s response to 50 Cent?
During a recent appearance on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, which Bossip recapped, T.I. discussed lots of different topics, including his public spat with 50 Cent. When asked if he enjoys seeing his sons step into the drama, Tip said he did not approve of King’s recent actions.
T.I. views himself as a man of respect and said that he aims to teach and raise his sons to behave the same way. However, in certain situations, King gets emotional. Despite that, T.I. said he was proud of how he stepped up to defend the family.
“The one thing that I am proud of out of all this is that the women and children in our family see that it’s a line of men that’s here against who-the-f**k-ever,” T.I. said, per Bossip.
T.I. said his son went too far in his feud with 50 Cent
T.I. said the moment King went too far is when he filmed himself, calling on 50 to dig up his deceased mother, Sabrina Jackson, and took a photo of her grave site, which was his response to 50 posting a picture of his mom, Tameka “Tiny” Harris.
“I said that’s enough when I seen that damn T-shirt,” Tip said, Bossip reported, referencing his son wearing a shirt with 50 Cent’s mother. “I said, ‘Man, chill out.’ I’m big on treating people the way I want to be treated … So I don’t want to see my children doing others … ”
While the feud between the two rappers could be great promo, especially for Tip and his upcoming project Kill the King, he downplayed the concept.
“I don’t give a f**k about that, man. I don’t give a f**k about that, bro,” he said.
