In a sea of “Break My Soul” covers and TikTok dances, multi-hyphenate entertainer Christian King, known for his spot-on Denzel Washington impressions, did a monologue that left folks cackling.
In a video shared across his social media accounts, King performed a monologue version of “Break My Soul” as the Training Day actor. Nailing the actor’s body language and cadence, he somehow made the dance bop a soliloquy fit for a Shakespearean play.
@iam_cking I had to do it one time for the one time #beyonce #renaissance #breakmysoul
Viewers loved it, and after someone shared the video on their Twitter account, it quickly went viral.

Another user noted that it really sounds like a monologue or speech Viola Davis would deliver.
“I can also hear Viola Davis saying this in a movie or as an award acceptance speech,” they tweeted.

And one user pointed out that he could have thrown in one of Washington’s go-to sayings to take the impression over the edge.
“Only thing missing was a ‘My man’ or ‘My n***a’ depending on the rating of the movie,” they tweeted.
Only thing missing was a “My man” or “My nigga” depending on the rating of the movie. 😅
