Fashion designer and businesswoman Tina Knowles-Lawson had the perfect mama response to online speculation over why Jay-Z touches his wife and singer Beyoncé during the couple's public outings.

On Sunday, the 67-year-old took to Instagram with a post that gently but assuredly calmed speculators, fully dispelling assumptions of Jay-Z’s actions being a result of Beyoncé having anxiety, Complex reported

The post, a collage titled “The Jayoncé Leg Rub,” showed Hov touching Beyoncé’s lower leg while they were courtside at various NBA games.

Knowles-Lawson acknowledged that although the act of physical touch can be a good way to ease social anxiety, that's not the case between her daughter and Hov, according to HOT 97.

“When you love someone and like them you just want to touch them,” Knowles wrote in the caption. “Me and Richard are always touching even if it’s just our feet ! Yeah!! That’s what you do ! For those of you who don’t understand, Try it sometimes it works !! Human Touch is how you stay connected!!”

“That’s a beautiful thing,” Knowles-Lawson added in the caption.

People responded to the post in agreement and praise. One person highlighted that touching another person is actually healing in itself.

“Human touch is healing..healthy human touch is healing,” the comment read.

Over the years, several pictures have circulated online showing Hov rubbing Beyoncé’s legs while the two were out in public, particularly at sports events. In the meantime, fans, mostly confused at this behavior, have tried to understand why.

Recent speculation of the fan-favorite phenomena surfaced once again after the couple was spotted sitting courtside at Game 1 of the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets playoff series on Saturday.

Throughout the game, the two were seen showing PDA, and as expected by onlookers, Hov eventually rested his hand on Beyonce’s leg, Hip Hop DX reported.

The two quickly made headlines for their rare appearance. At the game, the 28-time Grammy award winner and Hov cheered on the Nets based in Hov’s hometown.

Last year, Knowles-Lawson led a joint letter with other celebrities and mothers who lost Black family members to police violence, urging Congress to address voter suppression, as Blavity previously reported. Together they called for legislation to pass the HEROES Act which would examine issues like polling locations and voting machines which historically have raised concerns of voter suppression.

Knowles-Lawson is currently married to movie and TV actor Richard Lawson. The couple wed in 2015, four years after she divorced Matthew Knowles, Beyonce’s father.
