Family feuds are a thing of the past for the Knowles-Carter clan. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Tina Knowles-Lawson shared her adoration for her rap mogul of a son-in-law Jay-Z on his 49th birthday.

“A very happy birthday to my amazingly talented, super smart, gracious, classy, filled with swag son in law. I have witnessed your loyalty to all of your friends, some from childhood if only we all could be so supportive of our friends and share a mutual love and respect for each other like you and your amazing friends,” she wrote.

The Brooklyn native kicked off his 49th birthday on Tuesday in Johannesburg, South Africa, after headlining the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 with icon and wife Beyoncé. The event was a celebrity-filled musical celebration in honor of the life and legacy of former South African President Nelson Mandela who passed away from a respiratory infection in 2013.

“I have witnessed your loyalty to all of your friends, some from childhood if only we all could be so supportive of our friends and share a mutual love and respect for each other like you and your amazing friends,” Lawson continued in her post.

“You have done so much for our culture, thank you for that! I could not be more happy to have you in my family and could not be more happy to be in yours,” she said before acknowledging his grandmother and mother. “I have watched you grow personally in leaps and bounds, and you are an incredible husband and the best father! I love you,” she added.

After shutting down the nation with their performance, the rapper, born Shawn Corey Carter, celebrated among partygoers who sang “Happy Birthday" led by Queen Bey. Celebrities in attendance included South African DJ and musician Black Coffee who shared a video of the special moment on Instagram.

The rap legend enjoyed a monumental year with the On the Run II tour racking up over $250 million in ticket sales. The power couple released the album Everything Is Love earlier this summer alongside a video for their hit track "Apes**t."
