The mama bear jumped out of Tina Knowles when she defended her daughter Beyoncé after haters accused the superstar of lightening her skin following the recent premiere of her upcoming Renaissance film.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Beyoncé attended the premiere of her upcoming Renaissance film at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Since silver is the theme of her record-breaking world tour, the majority of celebrity attendees like Kelly Rowland and Lupita Nyongo showed up and proved that they understood the assignment.

The 38-time Grammy artist graced the chrome carpet rocking a silver Versace gown that resembled a disco ball with long-length gloves and long platinum tresses to match.

Some people questioned if Queen Bey bleached her skin in an attempt to appear like a white woman, along with other rude comments.

“Beyoncé look white,” one person wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post Essence published.

“Beyoncé arrived as a whole @kimkardashian,” another person agreed.

“Thought that was a white lady 😧 Beyoncé lay off the bleaching creams already,” a third person chimed in.

Others came to Bey’s defense, sharing how skin tone changes in different seasons.

“Some of y’all are nauseating when it comes to this discourse about her skin tone. I can’t with you people. For many of you who don’t understand, when it comes to melanin skin, we have winter skin tones versus Summer skin tones, plus the fact that she is not a dark skin person anyway, and then you add the lights, all the silver truth be told everyone that has hit this silver carpet looks a shade or two lighter because of all the lights and the silver and the mirrors and the glass that’s along this red carpet. Y’all refuse to let this woman just be. It’s always gotta be something,” one fan wrote.

“Y’all don’t understand how flash and how silver can lighten your tone if you’re already on the lighter side… 🙃 and we’re in the winter months,” someone else added.

After seeing negative comments about Beyoncé’s Renaissance premiere look, Knowles took to Instagram with a video that included a slideshow of various looks her daughter has tried over the years with her Black is King song “Brown Skin Girl” playing. Despite knowing her daughter would be “pissed” at her, she shared how tired she is of “stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements.”

“She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin? .. How sad is it that some of her own people continue the stupid narrative with hate and jealousy,” Knowles wrote. “Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown. . ALIEN Superstar duh!”

Knowles went on to share that what sent her over the edge was learning that a white employee at TMZ contacted the music icon’s team to see if the Ivy Park creator had a response to what the general public was saying online about her identifying as a Black woman.

“What’s really sad is that a white woman had the audacity to reach out to Neal Beyonces hairstylist she was from TMZ to say that the fans are saying that she wants to be white and she wanted to get a statement about it from Neal. . Well that made, my blood boil , that this white woman felt so entitled to discuss her blackness,” she said.

What saddened her most, though, was the commentary from the Black community.

“What’s really most disappointing is that the some Black people yes you bozos that’s on social media. Lying and faking and acting like you’re so ignorant that you don’t understand That black women have worn platinum hair since the Etta James days. I just went and looked at all the beautiful talented black celebrities who have worn platinum hair and it has been just about everyone of them at one time or another. Are they all trying to be white,” the 69-year-old asked.

Knowles ended her PSA by slamming everyone who comes for Beyoncé because she doesn’t bother anyone else.

“I am sick and tired of people attacking her. Every time she does something that she works her ass off for and is a statement of her work ethic , talent and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork,” she wrote. “Jealousy and racism , sexism , double standards , you perpetuate those things . Instead of celebrating a sister or just ignoring if you don’t like her. , I am sick of you losers.”

She concluded her post with, “I know that she is going to be pissed at me for doing this, but I am fed up ! This girl minds her own business. She helps people whenever she can. She lifts up & promotes black women and underdogs at all times.”
