In the wake of his affair with co-anchor Amy Robach becoming public, T.J. Holmes’ estranged wife made a statement one week after Holmes filed for divorce.

Via her divorce attorney, Stephanie Lehman, Marilee Fiebig expressed “disappointment” in her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Lehman released an exclusive statement to the Daily Mail, in which she wrote, “During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter.”

The attorney added she and Holmes’ lawyer “have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible.”

“Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter.”

Lehman ended her statement by saying her 45-year-old client appreciated the public’s support. “Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”

Fiebig is an immigration lawyer and serves as the chief diversity officer for the Save the Children Foundation.

She is a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Daily Mail reports that her past employment includes vice president of operations and general counsel at Wilhelmina modeling agency. She was also the chief of staff at Roc Nation

Their marriage began in March 2010, and they share a 9-year-old daughter, Sabine. Fiebig is his second wife.

When the news broke of Holmes’ affair with Robach, there was speculation about the couple’s status.

Page Six reported at the time that a source told the outlet that the couple had been “separated” but were trying to “work things out.”

They were reportedly together on his birthday. However, Page Six’s source said Fiebig had “no idea” of the affair, leaving her “devastated.”

Holmes and Robach’s relationship leaked in mid-November.

Blavity reported the couple went silent on social media after outlets published images of their romantic rendezvous.

In several photos, the hosts are shown cuddled and in compromising embraces. One even caught Holmes squeezing Robach’s behind.

In another image, the pair appeared to be holding hands in a car.

Robach is married to actor Andrew Shue and has also begun the process of ending her 12-year marriage.

Now that Robach and Holmes’ relationship has been confirmed, the two have made little attempt to hide their feelings.

They were recently seen displaying much public affection in Miami while on vacation.

Both news anchors have been suspended from their hosting gigs on GMA3, ABC’s midday segment of Good Morning America.
