The 76th annual Tony Awards was a memorable night for many of Broadway’s biggest talents.

Last night, several productions and actors took home top awards of the night. Two actors even made Tony history.

J. Harrison Ghee and Alex Newell made history by becoming the first openly non-binary actors to earn top prizes during last night's ceremony.

Ghee took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for their role in the hit production Some Like It Hot.

Meanwhile, Newell won Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for Shucked.

Suzan-Lori Parks' Pulitzer Prize-winning 'Topdog/Underdog' won Best Revival of a Play.

The stage production was directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon and starred Emmy Award-winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Tony Award-nominee Corey Hawkins.

The play “tells the story of two brothers, Lincoln and Booth, names given to them as a joke by their father. Haunted by the past and their obsession with the street con game, three-card monte, the brothers come to learn the true nature of their history.”
