Authorities in Toronto are investigating a Raptors fan for hurling threatening sexually explicit comments at Ayesha Curry on live television.
After the Golden State Warriors handed the Toronto Raptors a 109-104 loss Sunday, an inappropriate fan took his frustration out on the Ayesha Curry, the wife of Warriors star Steph Curry. The Toronto Sun reports the fan, identified as Tristan Warkentin, was interviewed by reporter Kelly Linehan for CP24 News following the game.
Instead of commenting on the game, Warkentin, who claimed he was inebriated, decided to go on a vulgar tirade.
"I just wanted to let everyone know: Ayesha Curry, we’re going to [expletive] her in the [expletive]," he said.

The extreme comment was enough to spark a police investigation. According to Global News, Ayesha Curry grew up in Markham, Ontario. She is a chef and entrepreneur. Toronto Police told media will not release further information regarding their investigation. Authorities may release information at a later date, The Global News notes.
Reporter Kelly Linehan said Warkentin was not initially interviewed but hijacked the interview to utter his vulgarities.
"I love covering the Raptors," Linehan wrote on Twitter. "I love the fans and I love the post-season feeling in the city. However, I really can’t stand when people hijack an interview to spew vile comments on live TV. Toronto is so much better than that."
After the backlash on social media, the overzealous fan said he wants to apologize for his comments. He blamed his actions on alcohol stating "it was an alcohol-influenced situation."
"What I am trying to do is maybe reach out to Mr. and Mrs. Curry, and that’s realistically who I feel I owe an apology to — and maybe Toronto," he told the Toronto Sun.
The Ottawa-area salesman claims he is a victim of online harassment and received death threats since he the commentary. However, his attorney expects Warkentin to not receive criminal charges.
