Traci Braxton, the sister of Toni Braxton, has died from cancer at age 50, TMZ reports. “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatments for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory,” Kevin Surratt said about his wife in a statement to TMZ.

Traci is remembered by her fans as a talented actress, singer and TV personality. In addition to appearing on the family’s reality show, Braxton Family Values, the beloved entertainer starred on the popular 2018 film, Sinners Wanted. As an artist, Traci recorded “Last Call,” the song which rose to No.16 on the Billboard Hot 100. The singer also joined her sisters, Toni, Towanda and Trina to record “Broken Things.”

Braxton ‘s son, Kevin Surratt Jr., expressed his sorrow in an Instagram post on Saturday.

“When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was I’m going to fight and beat this,” he wrote. “She fought to the end and today she’s at peace. I love my mother forever and this hurts so much but I’m at peace knowing she’s isn’t in pain anymore. I love you ma I’m going to miss you.”
