In what's shaping up to be a breakthrough year for a new generation of Nollywood filmmakers, 2012 will also see the release of the Rita Dominic-produced film The Meeting; a film in which she also stars.

Dominic has also been named one of Nigeria's richest actors, as S&A reported in December 2012.

Co-produced by The Audrey Silva Company, and directed by Mildred Okwo, The Meeting also stars Femi Jacobs, Linda Ejiofor, Jide Kosoko, Basorge Tariah, Kate Henshaw, Nse Ikpe Etim, Chinedu Ikedieze and Chika Chukwu.

The Meeting is currently scheduled for a March 2012 release.  No official word yet on where the film will screen.

The film's synopsis:

Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red-tape and his tender heart when he embarks on a one day business trip to Abuja to secure a government contract.
