Trey Songz is facing a $20 million lawsuit from a woman who says the artist became a "savage rapist" in 2016. According to Complex, the woman said she first had a consensual relationship with Songz, whose legal name is Tremaine Neverson.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, said Songz invited her upstairs during his house party on March 24, 2016, and raped her after she said she didn't want to have anal sex. According to the woman, Songz removed her pants when they got to the room, held her down and forcibly inserted his penis into her anus while she screamed and begged for him to stop.

Jane Doe said she later went to the hospital, but she was too afraid to report the musician after she received treatment. While treating the woman, doctors found “severe anal tearing,” the lawsuit states.

A representative for the singer said an attorney is orchestrating the allegations.

Songz's team said attorney Ariel E. Mitchell, who is representing another one of the singer's accusers, orchestrated the latest case. According to Billboard, the defense team said Mitchell, the attorney for Jauhara Jeffries, tried to pay an unnamed witness more than $100,000 to lie about the alleged assault.

“Earlier today, the attorney who drafted this suit was credibly accused of trying to pay a woman to falsely accuse Trey,” a representative for the singer told TMZ. “Hours later, that same attorney has filed this suit on behalf of an anonymous client. It isn’t hard to see what’s happening here, and it is a shame for genuine victims of sexual assault.”

Mitchell said Songz is engaging in “a desperate attempt to shift the narrative from his abhorrent and egregious behavior.”

“This is nothing more than bullying and an attempt to silence counsel and the many victims who have been assaulted by Defendant Songz and will be vigorously defended in court. I will further be exonerated as I was when this allegation was previously made by Defendant Songz’s prior attorney,” Mitchell said.

As Blavity previously reported, Dylan Gonzalez, a former basketball star at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has also brought accusations against Songz. Gonzalez posted a statement on Twitter, saying the musician raped her at a well-known Las Vegas Hotel.
