WHAT: A historical event honoring the legacy of Tuskegee University and its community with a star-studded weekend highlighting one of the most highly-anticipated action dramas of 2012: RED TAILS. […] Movie screenings, historic bus tours, community block party, meet & greet with documented Tuskegee Airmen and RED TAILS cast members, and a special sky show will take place. This is an unforgettable weekend paying homage to American heroes!
WHO: RED TAILS’ Oscar-nominated actor Terrence Howard (“Hustle & Flow,” “Iron Man”), Tristan Wilds (“90210” HBO’s “The Wire”), along with cast members Nate Parker (“The Great Debaters,” “Blood Done Sign My Name”), David Oyelowo (“The Help,” “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Elijah Kelley (“Hairspray,” “Everybody Hates Chris”), and director Anthony Hemingway (HBO’s “The Wire” and “Treme”). Special guests include Tuskegee University alumnus and multi-platinum singer/songwriter Lionel Richie, nationally syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, along with surprise guests!
