Some TV casting news…

First, Adina Porter has been promoted to series regular on a show she’s been on for some 6 years – True Blood! After 6 long years recurring, she’s finally made a series regular. And for what will be the final season of True Blood – its 7th, which will run next summer on HBO.

Took you long enough, didn’t it HBO?

Regardless, I suppose congrats are in order for Ms Porter.

Second, Rockmond Dunbar‘s has also been promoted to series regular on a series he initially signed up for a three-episode arc on – The Mentalist, the CBS procedural.

Dubbar will play a character named Dennis Abbott, a no-nonsense FBI Chief Agent. His first episode will air on November 10.

Third, Whoopi Goldberg will provide the voice of Mrs. Rabbit, in ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Goldberg (or rather her voice) will appear during the freshman ABC drama’s 8th episode. Keith David already provides the voice for Cheshire Cat in the series.

And finally, fourth, Sophina Brown will co-star in the Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce pilot for Bravo. The project follows a famous author of a best-selling self-help book, and her ups and downs as a single woman in her 40s, in Los Angeles, after she separates from her husband. Brown will play the lead character’s best friend.
