First, British actress Leonora Crichlow has joined Ben Feldman to star in NBC’s romantic comedy pilot A To Z.
The project hails from writer Ben Queen and producers Rashida Jones and Will McCormack.
A To Z follows the relationship between a young couple.
Feldman plays one-half of the couple. Crichlow will play a character named Stephie, roommate and co-worker of the other half of the couple.
Second, Mykelti Williamson has been tapped to play the male lead opposite Sarah Snook in the ABC drama pilot Clementine, which centers on Clementine Ross (Snook), a troubled 28-year-old psychic who sees her life begin to change in unexpected ways when she decides to stop running from her past.
Williamson has signed up to play Ray, a hard-working, recently-divorced detective with the Philadelphia Police Department and a potential love interest to Clementine.
Third, Rashida Jones’ real life parents, Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton, will play her on-screen parents in Tribeca, the TBS comedy pilot, which hails from funnyman Steve Carell and his wife, Nancy Carell, described as a satirical look at a police procedural with Rashida Jones starring as Angie Tribeca, an outspoken veteran of the LAPD’s elite RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit). Deon Cole (Barbershop) also co-stars, playing Officer DJ Tanner, head of the K-9 unit.
And finally, fourth, Tymberlee Hill has booked a role in the NBC comedy pilot Marry Me, from writer David Caspe and directed by Seth Gordon. The project follows a young couple, played by Casey Wilson and Ken Marino, who get engaged, only to realize that being an official couple isn’t as easy as it looks. Hill has signed up to play a character named Kay, neighbor and friend to one-half of the couple, as played by Casey Wilson.
