Some quickie TV news:

First, Xosha Roquemore has joined the cast of Fox’s The Mindy Project as a series regular, beginning next season. This is after the actress did a 3-episode arc on the comedy, this, its season – its first.

nullRoquemore’s recurring role on TV Land’s new Kirstie Alley comedy series will be recast, so that she can head over to Fox’s Mindy Project.

Second, CBS has tapped Kevin Frazier to host a new game show called Money Pump, which is described as a high-pressure game show where contestants compete against an enormous money pump for $1 million. 

It’s based on an Israeli TV show co-created by Reshet TV and Tanin Productions. Frazier will join Cedric The Entertainer (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire) and Steve Harvey (Family Feud) as 3 black TV game show hosts currently.null

And finally, across the pond, Richard Ayoade is taking over as host of Channel 4’s Gadget Man, until now, hosted by Stephen Fry.

In Gadget Man, produced by North One Television, Ayoade will investigate new technological innovations, in the series’ second season, which premieres this fall.

He will also create and design his own fantasy inventions on the show (he’s a techie as well as an actor, director and comedian).
