From Cardi B to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Twitter celebrated some iconic women MCs who left their mark on the rap game with some of these prolific verses.

It all started after one user simply stated how touched the world has been to receive some of the hottest rhymes from women and soon after, Twitter users started reminiscing on some of the game-changing verses that shook the game.

The list included the likes of Da Brat, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, and even those who are often left out of conversation such as Amil, Diamond of Crime Mob, Gangsta Boo and several others.

From old school to new school, the celebration extends far beyond any one queen of hip-hop. Here are some of the entries below:

Lil' Kim

Not only recognized for her iconic looks and explicit lyrics, Lil' Kim was honored for some of her tracks that captured several moments in time.

And of course, who could forget her verse on Mary J. Blige's hit "I Can Love You."

MC Lyte

MC Lyte, who was also featured on "Ladies Night" alongside Kim, made the list in another entry for her iconic verse on Brandy's "I Wanna Be Down (Remix)."

Foxy Brown

Foxy Brown was also included on the list for some of her classics, like "Get Me Home."

Left Eye

Left Eye left her mark on the world and left her fans with some amazing verses. It was without a doubt that fans would add her to the list, too.

Trina

Trina, the self-proclaimed "baddest b**h," also found herself on the list.

Nicki Minaj

Barbz jumped at the opportunity to include Minaj, saying her verses left them in a "chokehold."

Remy Ma

The celebration was a place for all stans to gather online. Even Remy Ma, who famously had public beef with Minaj, made the list with two of her hits.

It's safe to say women MCs have definitely held the rap game down with their iconic verses.
