Keke Palmer announced that she will be starring in the new DisneyToy Story prequel Lightyear, a sci-fi intergalactic adventure centered on the origin of Buzz Lightyear.

Also joining the cast is Uzo Aduba, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Efren Ramirez and Isiah Whitlock Jr.," according to the Disney film's synopsis.

Keke posted on her Twitter and Instagram announcing her involvement in the new project and her excitement, saying, "Every hero has a beginning. I am thrilled to go on an intergalactic adventure in Disney / Pixar's  #Lightyear!!!! I have always loved Buzz, I'm so excited I get to share the screen with him. Coming June 17, 2022."

Aduba followed suit and posted a clip with her character and Lightyear.

However, Twitter marveled at Palmer's ability to remain booked, busy and blessed.

Palmer is also starring in Jordan Peele's widely anticipated film Nope alongside Daniel Kaluuya, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott.

Peele wrote and directed his new horror flick following his box office hits Us and Get Out, Deadline reportsPalmer will also be in the feature titled Alice that debuted at Sundance this year and is due in theaters on March 18, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
