Black journalists who have been attacked by Donald Trump are getting shown a heap of love on social media.
Many were upset when Trump attacked three Black female journalists this week. He came for American Urban Radio's April Ryan during a Wednesday press conference and again on Friday. At the same presser, the self-proclaimed "nationalist" told PBS NewsHour's Yamiche Alcindor she was asking a racist question.
He spoke to the press again on Friday and ridiculed CNN's Abby Phillips for asking a “stupid question.”
And Trump today attacked another black reporter, Abby Phillip: “What a stupid question that is,” he says to her.pic.twitter.com/tqcw3NgFtt

CNN released a statement affirming its support of Phillip:
Statement: @abbydphillip did not ask a “stupid” question today at the White House. In fact, she asked the most pertinent question of the day. The @realDonaldTrump’s personal insults are nothing new. And never surprising.

CNN commentator and journalist Keith Boykin followed that tweet with one of his featuring an informative video compilation that included several examples of 45 attacking Black people.

Following the president's Friday presser, there has been an outpouring of solidarity with the journalists.
Among the multiple journalists President Trump has insulted this week, three of them are black women: @Yamiche

@abbydphillip There is something SO wrong with this. I had to speak up: pic.twitter.com/HdyCX28l8T— Brooke Baldwin (@BrookeBCNN) November 9, 2018
.@AprilDRyan, @abbydphillip, @Yamiche – among finest reporters covering the White House, plus April on the beat for decades. @realDonaldTrump's vitriol lodged against them, @Acosta, @PeterAlexander is unacceptable.
Mr. President, professionalism please. Abby is brilliant btw. pic.twitter.com/t3qJ8TxZxX

In last 2 days, Trump publicly attacked these three WH Correspondents.
Trump told @Yamiche her question was “racist”.
Trump told @abbydphillip her question was “stupid”.
Trump called @AprilDRyan, “a loser”.
Hmm…I wonder what these three brilliant professionals have in common????? pic.twitter.com/joWAZdkYe5— Ana Navarro (@ananavarro) November 9, 2018
Trump didn’t answer @abbydphillip’s question about the DOJ and Mueller. He shouted @Yamiche down when asked about whether he aligns himself with white nationalism. He never addressed @AprilDRyan’s inquiry about voter suppression. Acknowledge his behavior, but never stop asking.

#DonaldTrump you’re the most divided racist asshole. How dare you belittle our black female journalist. They’re well educated in their field who can hold their own! https://t.co/i6pVmsa25L

Trump continues to demean Black women journalists. My “shocked” face … ???? This is who HE IS! pic.twitter.com/s7Ew2FQzEi

like do what you want — but I'm not going to waste my time defending Abby Phillip or Yamiche Alcindor or April Ryan. Their competence has never been in question

Ryan, Phillip and Alcindor also showed each other support.
.@AprilDRyan is on CNN right now defending her many credentials as a White House correspondent. She has covered Republicans and Democrats and has had good working relationships with presidents of both parties. She is not a “loser.”

Thank you! I am so sorry he said what he said to you!! This is so sad. https://t.co/COzx02vRc2
— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) November 9, 2018
.@AprilDRyan has been covering the White House for several presidents honorably. She’s not a loser. In fact, she’s been winning in her personal and professional lives for a while. She’s a journalist, a mom to great girls, an author of books and a truth teller. We press on.

@abbydphillip
@Yamiche I have so much respect for you two fabulous journalists. I am more than proud to call you both friends. Keep pushing. We have a lot of stories to report. Can't stop. Won't Stop!— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) November 9, 2018
