A full-on melee broke out on Thursday in the midst of a Verzuz battle between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia. The chaotic scene began when Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Bizzy Bone lashed out after being mocked on stage.

"Hey yo, hey. Before we even get started, you ugly motherf**kers ain’t fit to be mocking me while I’m on the motherf**king stage. Like straight the f**k up,” the rapper said to his opponents before throwing a bottle at the group.

Seconds later, the two groups engaged in a brawl on stage. Social media, of course, had plenty to say about the fight.

Some Twitter users took the side of Bizzy, saying he had the right to be furious after being mocked on stage.

Others said banter is a normal part of hip-hop.

Then there are those who are simply happy to finally see a fight on Verzuz.

It was certainly a scene that many people didn't expect to see when they tuned in to the show on Thursday.

Bizzy faced more mockery on social media when people called him out for ducking the fight he started.

When the dust settled, Bizzy came back on stage to apologize and the two groups made up.

Bizzy first fueled the tension when he went to Instagram before the event and described his opponents as “devil worshippers.”

“They don’t want to be called devil worshippers. Well wtf is you and wtf is your name three sixes for?” he wrote. “Whats that a acronym for? FOH… That is the mark of the beast is it not? Ya’ll grew up in the church so you knew the ramifications behind naming ya self that to MAKE PEOPLE THINK YOU SOLD YOUR SOUL FOR RICHES AND FAME (thats a classic). Now you got your money and u wanna act like nobody can call you out on it? Ya’ll got me f’d up.”

Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul spoke about the history between the two groups when he sat down for an interview with HipHop DX in 2015. The rapper said there has never been any real beef between the rivals, but it was a "misunderstanding" because the two groups had similar styles.

"When Bone came out with 'Thuggish Ruggish Bone' and all of that stuff and we hear somebody kind of on our same style … we were like, ‘Damn these dudes done stole our style!’" he said. "That’s why we got mad about it. We ran into each other a couple of times and there was a push or something. But there was never no fight or nothing like that.”
