Shortly after Ellen Pompeo recalled an argument she had with Denzel Washington when he was directing an episode of Grey's Anatomy in 2016, Twitter users began to remind of her other questionable moments.

According to E! News, Pompeo first shared the anecdote on a recent episode of her podcast, Tell Me with Ellen Pompeo. Speaking with her guest and former co-star, Patrick Dempsey, the actress said she yelled an improvised line to another character while Washington was directing an episode from the 12th season of Grey's Anatomy.

"I was like, ‘Look at me when you apologize. Look at me,'" Pompeo said while reflecting on her dialogue with another actor. "And that wasn't in the dialogue. And Denzel went ham on my ass. He was like, ‘I'm the director. Don't you tell him what to do.'"

The Grey's Anatomy actress said she then lashed out at the director.

"I was like, ‘Listen, motherf**ker, this is my show. This is my set. Who are you telling?'" Pompeo recalled, adding that she has the "utmost respect for Washington" and there was no further dispute between the two entertainers.

Following the retelling, a Twitter user recalled a roundtable interview with Entertainment Weekly which included Pompeo, Viola Davis and Shonda Rhimes. The interviewer asked the Grey's Anatomy actress whether or not anything positive came out of a New York Times piece which stated Viola Davis was “less classically beautiful” than other actresses.

"If any good comes out of ignorance, then I’ll take the ignorance," Pompeo said of the remark.

As the interview comes back into the spotlight, the actress is now facing more backlash for her lack of empathy.

Social media also recalled Pompeo's remark about Vice President Kamala Harris. Responding to a Bloomberg tweet that suggested Harris only wanted to debate Joe Biden, the actress said such a scenario would only take place “because she’s overconfident and believes he is her only competition.”

Pompeo turned heads again last year when she appeared on The View and said there's no need for the NAACP Awards because there should only be “people” awards.

According to Essence, the Grey's Anatomy actress is married to Chris Ivery, a Black record producer. Together, they're raising three children together. But folks keep having to remind Pompeo that her interracial relationship doesn't give her the right to spew erratic, racial comments. Maybe she'll take heed.
