Babyface is known for many hits— most of which would fall under the R&B category. With that in mind, Twitter was shocked to learn that Babyface’s has had his hand in other genres, and is behind one of rock group Fall Out Boy’s biggest hits.

It all started when one Twitter user revealed that the 63-year-old produced “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” Fall Out Boy’s 2007 track that went on to go double platinum. 

Hysterics erupted once the tweet soared to viral status.

“BABYFACE DID WHAT????” One viewer wrote in a retweet.

“I had NO idea Babyface produced this!!!! [sic] [sic] no wonder I loved it so much!!!,” a viewer shared. 

One viewer shared they aren’t surprised that Babyface was involved in the record.

“Right I love fall out boys but still something was telling me he wrote this the lyrics amazing,” they wrote.

And another pointed out this isn’t the only Babyface x Fall Out Boy collaboration.

“He also produced this song for them too (another fallout boy slap),” they wrote.

Babyface recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he and host Kelly Clarkson sang several of his most iconic songs, per Today. Their rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Exhale (Shoop Shoop),” proved the producer will always be the GOAT.
