2008 was a landmark year. The same year that Barack Obama made history as the U.S.’s first Black president, Tyra Banks conducted one of the most awkward interviews with Beyoncé the world had yet to see.

The model reflected on the matter, which has a viral moment at least annually, and shared what Queen Bey felt afterward.

According to BuzzFeed, the cringeworthy interview saw Banks asking one too many Beyoncé-themed questions rapid-fire style on The Tyra Banks Show.

“Buy-oncé, when was the last time you bought something in a store? Seanc-é, if you could communicate with anybody who’s passed away, who would it be?” And “Brie-yoncé, what’s your favorite type of cheese?” She asked the Grammy Award winner.

clip of the interview has gone viral again, and with the wave of this current hysteria, Banks talked about the moment while appearing on E! News. She told hosts Adrienne Bailon and Justin Sylvester that the “Break My Soul” singer would come on her show “a lot” and “loved” it when they played games during their interviews.

“She liked to have fun,” Banks said. “So we were like, ‘OK, you wanna have fun? Let’s go.’ And she just loved the crazy stuff that we would do.”

Banks said she wholeheartedly stands by interview segments that are innovative and playful and encouraged Bailon and Sylvester to do the same, saying, “Have fun!”
