nullObi Abili, the British-Nigerian star of the upcoming Curacao slave revolt action/drama Tula, The Revolt, just wrapped shooting in Argentina, on what will be his next film, The Rules of The Game, directed by the UK’s Ed McGown – his feature film debut.

Abili is member of a cast that features Jack Gordon, Jack Doolan, Charlie Bewley and Mike Noble.

Details on what the film, which is based on an award-winning short film, is about exactly are sparse, other than this one-line cryptic description that calls it an adventure film about the perfect revenge gone wrong.

So it’s not a remake of Jean Renoir’s 1939 classic of the same name.

The script was penned by Sam Michell and Chris Hill wrote the script.

The film is produced by Strike Films, with Lex Filmed Entertainment executive producing.

I think Obi Abili is an actor to watch. This is only his second feature film role (prior to Tula, he appeared in a lot of British TV). His IMDB resume begins in 2006, so he’s still relatively *new* to the business, although his theatre resume is much longer. So he has stage cred (in the UK), and is now starting to work his way into film. It’s likely only a matter of time before he joins his British brethren (Chiwetel Ejiofor, Idris Elba, David Oyelowo, et al) in Hollywood.
